Recently, we, the investment bank "Prudentia", together with the "Nasdaq Riga" stock exchange, published our latest TOP101 of the most valuable companies in Latvia. Manufacturers of industrial goods from the manufacturing industry traditionally occupy an important place in it.
The article examines the existing "unicorn" of the technology industry - SIA Mikrotīkls, and three potential "unicorns" - the manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems SIA Edge Autonomy Riga, and two manufacturers of optical glass fiber, fiber braid, cables and laser beam guidance systems, "Light Guide Optics International" and SIA "Ceram Optec", both of which are located in Līvāni.
So, the main prerequisites, the fulfillment of which can result in a value of one billion euros, are:
ambition to be a regional or global player;
targeted work in the production of high
quality, innovative and technologically intensive products;
the ability to sell products on the global market;
investments in R&D.
