One of the biggest technology M&A deals in the Baltic States in 2020 has been successfully completed

Prudentia Tallinn office acted as a local M&A advisor to fast-growth web hosting business, Miss Group, in the acquisition of UAB Interneto vizija and its subsidiary company UAB Rakrėjus, market leading web hosting business headquartered in Vilnius in Lithuania.

Founded in 2014, Miss Group is an international web hosting group that offers a range of hosting related services. In February 2020, Perwyn, an international private equity and growth equity investor, acquired a majority position in Miss Group to support the growth ambitions of the business through international expansion and ongoing M&A. Acquisition of UAB Interneto vizija and its subsidiary is the second transaction to be completed under Perwyn ownership and the eleventh acquisition for Miss Group in the past two years.

Mattias Kaneteg, Miss Group founder and CEO: “This transaction provides a great platform for expansion across the Baltic region. Interneto vizija is an excellent business and we are looking forward to growing both the shared web hosting and datacentre divisions and delivering new value-added solutions to our customer base in Lithuania.”

Sulev Raik, Partner at Prudentia Tallinn: “Miss Group is a great example of the ambitious company with a thoughtful M&A strategy and big international goals. We are proud to be a part of the transaction which brings the new possibilities for the fast growth of Miss Group.”

Ēriks Melbārdis, Associate Director at Prudentia Riga: “Yet another cross-border deal on Baltic IT market which shows that the leading regional companies are on Western investors' radars. We could expect more transactions in the future as IT industry is highly-driven by the overall trend of digitalisation.”

Prudentia Tallinn Office worked on this transaction together with Prudentia Riga (Ēriks Melbārdis), Translink (Pontus Backlund) and Anecta (Eric Forsner and Fredrik Ullberg).
