Illar Kaasik is a Managing Partner at Prudentia. He was one of the founding partners of Investment Agency (Prudentia’s predecessor). Prior to establishing Investment Agency, Illar worked in banking (1991-2001), holding various leading positions in Virumaa Kommertspank, Eesti Maapank and Ühisliising.

Illar has M&A advisory experience since 2001, succesfully managing and closing the following transactions: advising on the sale of a majority stake in the metal and mechanical engineering company AS Remeksi Keskus (now Axis Tech Estonia AS), advising on the sale of Estonia's largest vegetable producer Laheotsa Talu, selling a stake in the successful sports equipment retail chain OÜ Hawaii Ekspress, advising on the sale of a 50% stake in wine distributor Dunker Group OÜ, to Hawesko Holding, advising on the sale of AS TMB to Consolis.

Illar Kaasik has been a member of the council in several companies, such as Eesti Põlevkivi, Rail Baltic Estonia and Viimsi Vesi. In addition, Illar has been involved in the work of several municipal budget and development committees, gaining experience of the structure of the processes of municipal development plans and budgeting.
